Transportation

  • Our commitment to safety begins before the campers arrive. Unlike most other camps, we manage the transportation of campers with bus service owned and operated by Carousel. All vehicles are radio equipped, providing us with two-way communication from the camp to all buses. Every bus at Carousel is air conditioned for the comfort of the campers. We personally oversee all aspects of transportation and are proud of our impeccable safety record.

Swimming

  • Carousel maintains three heated swimming pools. Campers swim two times each day and receive swimming instruction during one of their swim periods. Our Aquatics staff consists of Nassau County Certified Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors, all with CPR Certification Training. Group leaders and general counselors supervise closely at poolside for maximum safety. American Red Cross Swimming courses are taught and are enriched by Carousel's own water skills program. Written records are kept on the progress of each child. Swim cards, which show each child's progress in swimming, are sent home on a regular basis. Towel service is provided by Carousel.

Facilities

  • Our indoor and outdoor recreation areas give children plenty of space to be active. The outdoor park-like grounds consist of three playgrounds, four athletic fields, basketball court, beach volleyball court, fitness trail, deck hockey rink, three heated swimming pools, high and low adventure zip line challenge courses, gaga courts, bocce, horseshoes, tetherball as well as a miniature "Key West" play village and Discovery Ball Pit.
